1. Responsibilities 

NLNG recognises five areas of responsibility:

To Shareholders
To protect shareholders’ investments and to provide acceptable returns.

To Customers
To win and serve customers by delivering LNG and NGL's to the required quality, volumes, timeliness and security of supply.

To Employees
To respect the rights of employees, to provide employees with a safe and healthy working environment, competitive conditions of service and the opportunity to develop to their full potential, to promote the development and best use of the human talent and equal opportunity employment of Nigerian staff and to encourage an inclusive and supportive working environment in which there is the involvement of all employees in the planning and direction of their work. 

To Society
To conduct business as a responsible corporate member of the Nigerian society and our host communities, to observe the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to respect and support the rights of individuals in the conduct of our business and to give proper regard to health, safety and environment matters consistent with NLNG’s commitment to sustainable development, establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with our host communities that are built on respect, trust and commitment to continuous economic improvement and self-sufficiency.
 
To Suppliers and Contractors
To conduct its business relationships with suppliers and contractors in a manner, which is consistent with these Business Principles and which, promotes and maximises the development and transfer of know-how and technology and local content.

These areas of responsibility are inseparable. It is the duty of management to continuously assess priorities and discharge its responsibilities on the basis of these assessments, the resources available and the constraints under which it operates.


2. Health, Safety and Environment

 Consistent with its commitment to sustainable development, NLNG is committed to protecting the environment and ensuring safe and healthy working conditions for its employees and contractor staff in work sites and offices through the systematic implementation of sound management principles and continuous performance improvement.
