Statement of NLNG's Business Principles & Ethics

INTRODUCTION

Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) is a private joint venture company, registered in Nigeria and formed by its shareholders to be a World-class LNG Company helping to build a better Nigeria.
Its mission is to produce and deliver LNG and NGL’s to customers safely, reliably and profitably, grow our Company and its people to their full potential and be a trusted partner with all our stakeholders in the sustainable development of Nigeria’s gas industry and NLNG’s host communities.
Our Business Principles are based on our core ethical values of

  • Excellence, and
  • Caring.

In implementing our Business Principles we place the utmost emphasis on the following professional values

  • Respect for the Health and Safety of people and for the Environment
  • Belief that we should work in ways which support Sustainable Development
  • Discipline, Professionalism and Teamwork
  • Openness and Accountability
  • Commercial Orientation, and
  • Pride in all that we do.

We also believe in the importance of continuously striving to improve our business and ourselves with due and proper regard for the Health and Safety of all, for the protection of our Environment and for the legitimate aspirations of all our stakeholders and Host Communities.

Our Business Principles and Ethics apply to all our activities, large or small, and describe the behaviour expected of every employee, contractor and contract staff that works directly for us.

In NLNG we recognise the importance of doing what we say we do. Consequently, the application of our Business Principles and Ethics is underpinned by policies and procedures, which are designed to ensure that those who work for us understand the principles and that they act in accordance with them.

NLNG recognises that maintaining the trust and confidence of customers, shareholders, employees, contractors and suppliers, as well as the communities in which we work, is vital to our success. NLNG intends to merit this trust by conducting itself according to the standards set out in this document.

It is the responsibility of the management of NLNG to ensure that company stakeholders are aware of these principles and that those who work for us behave in accordance with this statement.
